swipes: a friendr meme
swipes: a friendr memeAny new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

There are a lot of them that are like the stories.
But a lot that aren't, too.
It'd be more balanced if we had some good alien / ai stories among the bad but those are far more few between.
They're just like humans, I guess. Good ones, bad ones, okay ones. .

A few of them have gotten notoriously good reputations with the public.
But there are massive groups of people that'd never trust them or anything they do, just because of what they are.
It sucks.
