Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

I have a friend back home who isn't a mutant, doesn't have any superpowers, isn't an alien, but I swear she's the strongest person I've ever met.
No matter what happens, she always gets right back up. And even if she takes a lot of hits, she doesn't let that stop her.

I've only spent two years on the field, and through most of that, I benched myself. It's hard, and there's a lot of things I've seen that I'll never forget. A lot of things I wish I'd never have had to go through. The friend I mentioned fought through all of it and didn't once give up. I've given up more times than I can count. So if you're still trying, I'm sure that means a lot.

Sometimes the creatures from outside the fence break loose, and sometimes there are floods.
But usually, no.
