swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

Considering how I spent most of my teenage years, it's probably less awkward than my sister telling me everything would work out eventually and to go date someone.

If you're interested in going beyond the walls, I'm with the Perimeter Guard. I wouldn't mind taking you along sometime. Although I've been out there on the shuttle more often than not as of late.

Honestly? After two tours in Afghanistan, I spent awhile in therapy myself. Couldn't do much of anything. But it helped me put my life back together, and I realized that I wanted to help other people who had the same problems I had.

I got a friend like that - doesn't know what to do without a war to fight. There's no one answer to how to fill up that empty space. If there would, my job would be a lot easier. But you just gotta keep going till you find it, whatever it is.

I can fry hamburgers and things like that, but I haven't really done a lot of real cooking. Somebody left behind a cookbook so I've been practicing. I haven't tried sweets yet.
