It's nice to be reassured sometimes. Just because I am so very impressive does not mean I don't need compliments. [Thor chuckles.] I did. You're very talented.

I'd say we should do it again sometimes, but I'm not sure who'd kill me first, Bryn or Loki.

Bryn and I are not exclusive, but admittedly I do not fully understand her boundaries as far as friends go.

Loki, however, I know his boundaries all too well. [Alas.] I think there will be a time for it to happen again.

Yeah, like, that might be a little weird? Is even asking weird? I don't have a lotta experience with this particular situation, Lup and I would just flip a coin.

[If they were both into the same dude, but that was Lup. And he loves Bryn and that's way more important than hooking up, as handsome as Thor is.]

Yes, well. Our sibling rivalry started with not being able to share toys. I'm not confident in our ability to share people.

He values your friendship, I'm sure. I have a particularly bad record of stealing away people he's been interested.

[He pauses, he didn't quite mean to admit that, then adds.] Not recently, I should say. I am not so petty now. I'd rather not upset him, however.

[He's never done the jealous sibling thing, but he can understand that the concept of it exists.]

I was not a very good brother. Granted, I never did try to kill him. Nor did I try to kill his friends. Mostly because he had none.

[Thor laughs, then grins.]

I'm not offended, that makes me very happy to hear. More than you know.

[This is the most baffling thought to him and it sticks out amongst everything else. The idea of even raising a hand against Lup is so abhorrent, he'd rather die himself than hurt her.]

He's tried, in his own way. He's tried to get rid of me without killing me, more frequently. I don't think he could actually kill me, though I'm not willing to test it.

He's come a long way from that, however.

[There's nothing Lup could do that would make him angry enough to hurt her; she could try to kill him and it wouldn't change anything.]

Changed to turn him against me or changed to bring him back to me?

Back, I guess? I think I know what turned him away.

[The whole... adoption and "I'm a monster" thing.]

Our mother was murdered by the dark elves. I needed his help to seek revenge and we worked together.

I don't know what changed in him, precisely. But he sacrificed himself for me without hesitation, and he died in my arms on svartalfheim.

[Ohhhh, that sure explains Loki's initial reaction to him, before they established Taako was a different kind of elf.]

Losing people tends to put shit in perspective, maybe it was that?
