He's tried, in his own way. He's tried to get rid of me without killing me, more frequently. I don't think he could actually kill me, though I'm not willing to test it.

He's come a long way from that, however.

Our mother was murdered by the dark elves. I needed his help to seek revenge and we worked together.

I don't know what changed in him, precisely. But he sacrificed himself for me without hesitation, and he died in my arms on svartalfheim.

Losing people tends to put shit in perspective, maybe it was that?
