swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for Cinderella in particular.

I guess they probably come in collections. More than one in a book? But it'll be fine. The more I pick up, the more versions I'll get.

I'd rather watch a play than read one, too.

Yes! The classic fairy tale--not the rewritten works for teens, those don't count.

For plays? It's a possibility, especially if the author is popular. But for other fairytales, they usually come in a collection, or you could start off with the picture books where the story is very basic, but lots of colorful illustrations to accompany them.

Not too hard...especially if you've sort of lived through it.

It's not that it's hard to tell, but...a lot of people don't believe it at first. And, I get it, it's not every day you learn fairy tales are real.

How about this...read Cinderella and Snow White's stories first and then I'll explain my story.

It'll be less confusing that way.

Yeah, maybe. I work with Jim, so maybe we'll show up at the same party or something.

[ He's not one to make promises. Kids are a whole thing. They don't dictate their own schedules or who they're allowed to meet in person. Plus yeah, the working with Jim thing. Showing up at the same parties are how he's met a lot of mutual acquaintances. ]
