swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

Not military, no. But it's something I can do, so I do.

Police and military haven't cornered the market on running into trouble like idiots. And I can do things they can't.

Tried, sure. Gonna be a few more years before anyone manages it, at least.

It would depend on technology's focus, wouldn't it? I have a friend whose space program is far beyond what's been done in my world, but they don't have androids.

Yeah, there's a lot of that around here. Interesting to see what different places tech goes. My world's only got one real android, but he's kind of a special case.

It's a very long story, but the upshot is that it's not something that could be repeated.

Oh there could, conceivably. Just not exactly like him. And we're a little ways off more human than human yet.
