swipes: a friendr meme

swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

Code to post your character's bio is in the textbox below.

Friendr base code is by photosynthesis.

● Post up a top-level for your character with their Friendr profile and then go around and swipe left or right on everyone else's!
● This meme is for characters already accepted into the game to window shop other characters' Friendrs while they're all gathered conveniently into one place.
● This meme is GAME CANON, so any threads played out in this meme can be carried through into the actual canon of the game.
● Since this meme is game canon, open, and only for characters in the game, threads here can be used for either Activity Points or the monthly Activity Check.

Rather dramatic, flowery. The vibrant language does a fine job of conveying the passion of the moment. I can see its appeal. It reminds me of the dramas of Orlais, actually. They're all just as pretentious and stuff about it.

Not that I dislike it, mind, from what you've shone. It was enough to interest me in the tale being spun. I wonder if there is a theater company to be found here.

i don't understand all of the language, but yes ❗❗
the rhythm. the meter. it's like
a metronome? for a scene
sets the speed. the pace.
the actors expressions, the tone, body language, movements, it all
just

[she loses her train of thought there, can't get the words for what she wants. even if she doesn't totally grasp the words outside of the gist, generally, what a scene is meant to convey comes through crystal clear to her.]

people just read the plays a lot
sounds boring
a good production is like nothing else

there's a ballet company
might be theaters too?

[wait what is he even talking about for part of that.]

Cadence. The term to which you are referring is "cadence". In rather common in poetic verse.

Reading such a structured play can be quite similar to watching it, should the playwright have a gift for the tempo.

Ah, there may be at that.

Orlais is an empire to the south of my homeland. They're know for their pretension and opulent architectural ornamentation among other things.
