swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

Um. No, not personally. They're not a thing in my world. Just the stories surrounding them are.

Slow, sluggish, no cognitive ability. Their one imperative is to eat brains. Which, well, thankfully I haven't gotten to that point. Yet anyway.

If my friend Richard were here, I'm sure he could give you this whole huge explanation about how it has to do with the anthropological perspective of cultures that equate the brain with personhood and people who are zombies aren't people or whatever, but I don't know for sure.

I just know that's what they always seem to be craving in modern media.

I don't think I've ever met a zombie with such an unusual craving. But mortal myths are their own creation.

My sister could make zombies, but even that was a complex process.
