swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

To have compassion for those you protect, right? That's more than some humans have. I imagine it wouldn't be difficult to focus that appreciation for life on one person for you to love.

You find someone who makes you feel human but inspires you to be so much more. You learn together, and sometimes it's difficult, but it's always worth it to be with them.

Limits in your code? If you've been given a soul, I don't think such limits can truly exist. Why create a soul only to build a cage around it and prevent it from growing?

I met him briefly. He wasn't quite what I envisioned.

I imagine that's how it would be for anyone to meet their maker, so to speak. As for myself, meeting my father was not what most would imagine as a warm reunion.
