swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

It feels that way a lot when you care. You just don't want to be a bother to others, I get that. But I'm sure your friends want to help with whatever you're going through.

I know they would help, but it’s my...challenge to face. I’m not going to risk their lives or anything of that nature. It’s my mess to sort through.

I basically work a lot of the time. It keeps me busy.

Work as part of the Ariel Unit with the Perimeter Guard, and part time with a friend as a scavenger.

What sort of stuff do you scavenge here?

Anything that could be useful: scraps of metal, boxes that were left behind, or anything. It varies, depending on the area we go to.

I was left on Jakku as a child. I had to become a scavenger, unless I wanted to starve.

Can't say much about it. Rough, hard, but I survived.
