swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

The helmet and larger chest pieces are removable, but the rest is permanent to keep me alive.

That's some pretty advanced tech, damn. Then again I come from a place mostly magic so. A lot of tech kinda blows my mind.

Yes, I have learned quite a bit about magic since coming here. It is quite amazing.

Yeah! I did the magic half. And that's kinda why I'm glad Cisco was so keen to get that project going. Imagine what we can accomplish if we combine the two.

The possibilities would be endless, wouldn't they? I can imagine it would solve a lot of renewable energy problems.

At the very least in the medical field. Hospitals not having to worry about power outages would save lives.

Now, magic does still come at a cost but. Yeah it's a lot more reliable than tech from what I can gather.

As most things in life do, I have learned. Technology has quite the cost itself. Despite all I gained by having this body, I had to sacrifice quite a lot in return.

Yes, absolutely. I would love to see him again but he also has a purpose back in our world I wouldn't want taken from him. It's a quite a double edge sword.

Ah, I had not thought of that being a concern. That must be difficult. I guess the conundrum of whether or not to tell someone their own future...?
