swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

I think people who expect that don't know much about what it's really like to never have a choice.

It's good that they don't. Kind of hard to explain it to them, though.

Getting pretty good at acting like I know what I'm doing, though.

That was me practicing. I don't know if I have any real advice.

I think it gets easier. I hope it gets easier. And I think it's easier knowing you're not the only one thinking like that.

[ Used to be that what he wanted more than anything else was to not be alone. Not really the kind of thing you forget, no matter how long it's been since it started changing. There's a bit of a pause. ]

If you ever want to pretend you know what you're doing with someone who gets it, I'm happy to team up. I've heard I make a pretty good teammate.
