swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

Hmm. That's a tough one, because I like so many. Probably Beauty and the Beast and Bluebeard. Oh and Cinderella of course. I may have acted that out as a kid once or twice in my life.

Cinderella, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast...those really hit close to home for me. They're some of my favorites, along with Robin Hood.

Why do they hit close to home for you?

I used to want to be Robin Hood actually. Shooting arrows, robbing from the rich to give to the poor, it sounds like a pretty good life.

Because...they're my family--and not in the sense of I can connect to them.. They're really my family.

In my realm, those fairy tales really did happen. Those characters are real people.

And there's more to Robin Hood's story than what's on paper.

But it's cool that there's a place where that happens. What are they like?

Well, Snow White and Prince Charming are my father’s grandparents. And The Beats, is my other great-grandfather.

But if you want to know more about them, it’s a pretty long story.

I didn't grow up with them...I barely know them. I know their stories though..

I grew up with my dad, my mom, my grandmother (one of them), and my aunt.

I'm sorry. It must be really hard to know about them only in stories.

It's hard, but I at least have their stories. Some people don't even have that.

That's hard to say...they're in a different realm, and I've never gone to that one before.

I know Dr. Frankenstein has mentioned ways to go to different realms. Is he working on that for you?

Why do you call him that? He does go by Victor.

No, he isn't. I don't want to leave him behind or anyone here behind..so maybe my family will come here instead.

Maybe? It deals with magic and...how often did you deal with that in your world?

Well, I deal with demons and spells and sacred geometry more than you think, so I'm actually pretty good at going through that sort of thing.

Sacred geometry? Were you dealing with math demons or something?

In a way, yes.

So if math demons exist in your world....what about science demons? Or air ones?

Um. Well, science demons could thing, but I don't know about air ones. The sacred geometry is what summons them.

[It's an honest question! If magic and math demons can exist, then why not science ones?!]

So...if scared geometry could summon math demons...maybe something like algebra or the scared maths of physics could summon a science demon?

[She's a kid who reads way too much, and over hears older kids gripe about algebra.]

Well, I know that sacred geometry being able to summon demons has to allegedly do with being able to find the back way into heaven. It's got a lot of markers in that way, so I don't know if algebra or physics would offer a similar sort of backdoor.

But there is other things that math may be able to do, in time with music, thanks to the Pythagorean coma and his theory about how there's a definite music of the spheres and that if it's played in the right order at the right place it can bring about the end of the world.
