swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

Perhaps a bit of both. It's just hard to know where you stand.

With a particular person or in general? You worrying that people ain't going to see you as a person?

That and I have no real experience with . . . anything, in a way.

Then experience it. I mean, don't force anyone into anything, but live life and experiences will happen.

I'm hardly going to force anyone to engage with me if they don't want to. Preferences are valid and I'm not human.

I ain't human neither. It's supposed to be about the person, not the label.

I agree. But I think the label is important. It's part of who I am. I am a person and a robot. I'm both.

You won't hear me disagreeing with you. It's you're identity. People shouldn't think negatively of you because of it though.

I don't think they do. But it's still something to wrap my head around. And for others too, I imagine.

It's difficult to know where you end and the programming begins I imagine.

I was only activated recently. Cognitively and emotionally, I'm fully developed but I lack experience.

I think that's still valid. No matter how long it seems, you can still miss it.
