swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

Is there something wrong with believing in them? I don't see anything wrong with having goals.

I'm one of a few people here that goes by Captain America. Figure I might as well get that out of the way now.

No, not at all. It's just back home when people have been mentioning them lately it's normally in a manipulative twisting them sort of way. Not actually being sincere. Sincere's nice. :D

People always have their own ideas of how freedom and justice should be applied. Not all of them are perfect.

But the values themselves still have merit. I believe in what they should be.

That's what they call us. You don't seem surprised.

Trump's isn't perfect. It's not even on the same page as the dictionary meanings of the words, actually. I'm pretty sure the framers would lose their minds if they met him.

And I'm kinda not. I've met a couple since I've been here. I'm good with the whole multiverse theory where things aren't the same on my planet as they are elsewhere.

Politicians. That's something that doesn't seem to change much.

That's pretty accepting of you. I have days where I still wake up surprised and it's been years. But it's kind of strange to think of a world without heroes too. We've been so involved that I don't know what the world would be like. Or what I would do.

Well, a friend of mine would say that I'm too willing to believe in weird things like that, but I mean we got kidnapped to a moon. It seems more like it would strain reality to fight it all the time, I guess.

And yeah, it does. I mean, I wouldn't want to live constantly doubting my senses and the honesty of everyone around me. It just sounds really exhausting.

Some people just don't want to believe what they see. They'll keep covering their eyes just to spite everyone else.

Um, I realize how insane it sounds, but I'm sort of trying to prevent the apocalypse. That is sort of the fault of my show. Unwittingly. There's a lot. Demonic cults, corporate espionage, that sort of thing.

Honestly? At this point pretty close to whatever it takes. I've been working on a theory that there's a genetic component to this and the whole demon thing and whatever Thomas Warren (he's our bad guy) is trying to do.

Right now, what we know is that he was using my show to play this... primer thing that causes a personal apocalypse and he's breaking down all of the defenses that the world has. Right now, we seem to be it.
