swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

I must admit that I am not sure I fully understand what a robot is. You are not a person?

I am a machine. I'm made out of metal parts and have a processor instead of a proper brain. Does that help?

I have a soul. An artificial one but it lets me feel the same way anyone else does.

The idea of an artificial soul is somewhat unsettling. It is beyond my comprehension.

It doesn't matter whether it's understood or not.

Only that it exists.

It brings up a lot of philosophical questions.

Or theological ones.

Aren't those good? It means there's more to learn and discover.

That depends entirely upon whom you ask.

I'm quite curious but at the same time it is difficult to come across more things that bring up whether what I grew up believing to be absolute truth can be absolutely true while there are other truths that are also absolute.

I suppose this doesn't make for interesting conversation, though.
