swipes: a friendr meme
swipes: a friendr memeAny new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

mostly because of quests and monsters
usually killing them off early.

like you should see how many kids hermes and apollo have.
it's just the big three, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades
aren't supposed to have kids because we end up so powerful
not that Zeus or Poseidon obeyed the pact or anything

We don't have anything like that on my world. The gods aren't all that powerful themselves so we're still rebuilding. Demigods just live with humans, no one really notices them.
If they get killed of early a lot you must lose a lot of friends though, that must be pretty rough.
As for Orion I met Artemis, she seemed pretty cool with the idea of becoming friends again and Athena seemed to expect me to do just that, like she understood if I wasn't loyal to her. I guess I should be more insulted she didn't expect me to fulfill my duties and just run off like that, but I wasn't thinking goddesses would be so sympathetic, you know?
wait if your father did, how are you here? Honestly I've never heard of their kids being anymore powerful than anyone else's, but I guess different universe different rules, right?

i was hidden away for 70 years in a place i didn't age.
that's how my father got around it.
as for children of the big three, they're always more powerful
and get more powerful still as they age.

Monsters aren't really a threat on my world. They're either gone or also in hiding, the power balance really messed a lot of things up when the gods got trapped. That sounds pretty messed up though, what about camp? Is that like a training ground for demigods on your world?
The ones that have surfaced, yeah. I mean I don't know them all, that'd be ridiculous, but I've spoken to Artemis and Athena. A few others were definitely around, but we usually only get a direct connection with our own patron god. I could have like been in line at Starbucks next to Demeter and never known it was her.
I guess since Artemis recognized me she told me who she was too. I'm supposed to be a priest of Athena though, grew up in a long line of them.
Oh wow that's not that long ago. I mean our gods were trapped in that labyrinth something like 400 years so.... 1932 seems pretty recent. They were probably only just released shortly before I was born which would explain all the college age demigods running around.
so you were hidden from the monsters and stuff? why don't they just keep you in places like that if it protects you? Seems like you'd be on the short list for danger if you're one of the few alive.
but if you're 87 that must make you more powerful than the younger demigods, too.
Even if they are kids of the big three as you call them, right?
