swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

Right. Of course. I guess I still think of things in terms of human form automatically.

Not yet, but that's a good idea. I want to know if anyone else has tattoos as good as yours.

Pretty bad. I just came from a point where I was pretty in love with him. But it's fine. I'm making my peace with it.

He's from a moment when we weren't together because of lies my father told him. Us. Things he made us believe. It's just a bit of an adjustment, you know?

I can't say I've heard one exactly the way you tell it, so you've got a good point. But that does seem to be the way of magic.

I do hear talking helps from time to time, so at least I can offer that? And maybe a supporting hand if you need one.

Life used to be a lot less complicated without magic, but I'm not sure I'd really change it. Well, maybe not so much death.

And you're one of the few people that doesn't seem to mind hearing about it. Plus the added bonus of not being from home. That kinda helps too. I'm hardly about to say no! I like having friends, so it works. Just tell me if you really need me to shut up about my problems though, okay? Promise?

[As bad as things have gotten, and they have gotten bad, there is something about the life of pursuing magic that can't be replaced by anything else. It's deep, a resonance in what Christian would call his soul if he really thought about that, and it gives him a sense of completion. But that never means the life is easy. Maybe that's why he can understand.]

I'll let you know. Promise. But you don't have to worry. I mean, that's what I'm here for, right?
