swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

I am, yes. I don't know that I can properly explain where it is... it is its own world, I believe?

Right now I'm looking into the train systems here and how they operate. I also research magic at Gramarye.

Trains are really fun! I always wanted to go on a train ride back home. I don't know much about magic.

It's all right, I know it's a bit strange to think about. This world doesn't seem to have princesses that I have heard of.

We don't have trains where I'm from, so I've ridden the ones here. Have you tried them? Magic is a big area - I don't know much either, compared to everyone else.

Back home, a few places still have princesses I think... but mostly not anymore.

I haven't really, I guess I should try. It just hasn't come up.

I don't...didn't think magic existed until I came here. It's still unsettling to me.

I've done a loop of the whole city on the trains! I would be happy to show you sometime.

I understand. There are a lot of things here I had never thought were possible. Like living on a moon.

We have a president and congress and then the city I'm from has a mayor.

I would like that.

Back home, some people don't believe we actually even went to the moon there.

It's fascinating to me how different people's worlds are. To think of all these different ways a place can be governed that I've never heard of.

I would find it much more satisfying to believe in achieving something so remarkable. It's exciting.
