swipes: a friendr meme

Any new arrival to the city has seen the ad for a free app popping up on their devices, and anyone who's been around for a while probably has a profile and has used it a bit. It's almost universal in the city - Friendr, a friend-finder and/or dating app. If characters choose to install it, they will fill out a short bio and parameters for what they're looking for, upload a snap of themselves, and then proceed to browse for matches. This is a typical swipe-left-or-right type app. The default color scheme can be seen below, but the Friendr app has a wide variety of themes, so feel free to customize with colors and patterns as you see fit, but do not remove the credit line out of respect for the creator of the code.

Is magic an innate thing for you guys or like, can any thug learn it?

Anyone can learn. But you need someone to...show you how to form the spell. It's hard to describe.

I kinda get it. I mean, most wizards do get their start learning from someone else or spending a fuckload of time studying textbooks, cause spells have rules and procedures and all that shit. There's certain things you gotta do to cast, sometimes you need components.

But that's just wizards, we've got a lottttt more magic than that

We've got other things too, not that anyone will tell me much about them. But there has to be more.

Mostly a secret, yeah. And even the people who do know don't always want to share.

The vast majority I've met have not been evil. Just very set in their ways.

The one sociopath does sort of make up for it, though.
