I'm ambivalent. My home has been a place of mixed feelings for some time now.

I felt ambivalent too, at first.

(She says it without thinking, then frowns, chewing the inside of her lip.)

[ He blinks. ]

Why is that?

(She hesitates for as long as she can before answering.) I didn't have much of a connection to my planet. I had my mother and father, but no extended family; it felt easy to leave it behind. I was excited to go.

And then it was gone and it... didn't feel real for a long time.

[ He nods slowly. Asgard's demise doesn't seem real either. It is the Realm Eternal, the shining jewel of the cosmos.

And yet. ]

Asgard was not the land of my birth.

(Huh. Lucretia feels like he's alluded to this before.)

... Where are you from?
