You- [ did you really just do that, Thor? She gives him one of those looks that asks what in the hell shes supposed to do with him now. As much as she wants to reach up and smack him she also... doesn't know if he's as tolerant as Bincent and that makes that kind of thing a dangerous gamble.

Her back rests against the opposite side of the elevator, glowering at him for essentially trapping them here. ]

- - Somehow I think it's less interesting than you're thinking. In Romdeau emotions were considered nonessential or a weakness. So we were all expected to behave as such.

[One day they will have the kind of closeness that allows her to hit him and know that he'll laugh it off, but they aren't there yet. Thor is persistent, however, and she's on his radar now.]

You are wrong, I find that very interesting. [Look, honesty.] Do you agree with the sentiment? Do you believe emotions are a nonessential weakness?

[ There's an instant regret - she'd hoped it wouldn't be as dramatic as expected (though if she's honest that's the most shallow level of truth to the situation) - and without some dramatic sob story for why he might decide to be uninterested. And yet here they are with more questions flying - ]

They're cumbersome. Most people around here seem to forsake common sense for following an ideal. But I was never known to be an ideal fellow citizen in Romdeau in that sense anyway. I was too emotional for them, believe it or not. To all of you I'm cold but at home I was too much.

I do find it hard to believe. [Thor's smile is sly.] You do strike me as something of an outsider, don't you think it would be nice to embrace emotion? Cumbersome as they may be, they don't just disappear because you try to squash them down.

I think that's not as easy as you make it sound. [ After all, squashing things down one's whole life makes for a process that's more than slightly hard to break when it comes down to it. She's not exactly the most bubbly, friendly person in the world, though.. the little girl she used to be would probably be ashamed of her in a way.

I'm content with who I am, here and now. That may change with time but for now I'm.. as pleased as I can be.
