[Csevet had arrived shortly after the whimpering from the forests had begun, and at first it had been tolerable. After all, he'd spent many a night in the courier's barracks with a newly-hired child whimpering in the bunk below, and tolerated it as well as could be expected. However, the sound only grew, louder and more insistent until he could barely focus, found it difficult to perform his job, and that was far beyond unacceptable.
When the noise stopped, Csevet had been grateful, gone back to work instead of getting some much-needed rest, too used to working without much sleep. Still, in the late afternoon he finds his energy dipping and decides to go out in search of something to keep him going - tea, maybe, or something cold, for this place is almost searingly hot after the cold Ethuveraz winter he'd just left. So, dressed in slacks and a loose tunic shirt, he heads outside into the heat, his long blond hair done back in a simple braid, his pierced ears piqued and alert, eyes searching the area around himself. This place is as chaotic and bright and casual as ever, and there is much to see.
Or at least he thinks, until something sweeps down from the eaves of a nearby building and perches on the top of his head. Ears jerking upward in alarm, Csevet's eyes widen, and he inhales a sharp breath, looking around to try to find his reflection, to know what it is that's landed on him, and instead finds himself face to face with a person.]
What sort of creature is it?
[His voice is smaller and more tremulous than he would prefer, but he believes he manages to keep the appearance of being calm and collected, nonetheless.]
iv. rainbow bite (orange and/or violet; ota)
[At first, he thinks the fireflies are quite lovely, floating around on the evening breeze in their variety of colours, and he finds himself wandering in whatever manner of nature he can find in this place just to enjoy the way they look in the darkness against the trees. And so it is that he finds himself in the park at night, by himself, looking around curiously.
The sting catches him off guard, and he winces, looking down at the small welt on his forearm and brushing fingers over it before sighing and simply carrying on. And as he walks, he doesn't feel much of a difference, not obviously at any rate, simply finds it much easier and more natural to greet the people he passes, lifting a hand and ducking his head respectfully with a slight smile, or if the other person seems inclined, stopping to say hello and ask the other person's name, voice light and curious.]
iv. rainbow bite (red [lust]; m/m)
[The change is much more noticeable when he's bitten by one of the red fireflies. There is a familiar heat, his cheeks and ears go a little pink, and while he clears his throat and attempts to ignore the building of emotion, of feeling, he cannot entirely ignore it.
And so, when he finds his way back into the city proper and crosses paths with someone he finds even marginally attractive, he looks up, eyes hot and intense, and smiles, making direct eye contact.]
A lovely night, is it not? Would you care to join us on our walk?

However, we do hope to develop friendships, and perhaps to find companionship of a closer variety.
If none of my hooks grab you but you're interested in Csevet, feel free to send a PM to this journal or a PP to caffemisto to plot something out, or just post your character doing something in Csevet's vicinity and I'll figure out how to hit it up.
