[ she nods, peering closer at the critters. Iris is no biologist; she barely passed Honors Bio (and that was with Barry's help). The inner workings of a crab are beyond her, though she vaguely remembers bits and pieces about their habitats. Crabs like less-salty water, and far colder temperatures than humans. Also don't they shed their shells at some point...?

The real problem is a non-violent solution to keeping them out; dead critters would only attract the predators keen on an easy meal. She can't suggest typical bug repellent either. The Perimeter Guard would've surely tried those first.

What would keep the little guys out and ensure the safety of the people? ]


Hey, Bear? [ she waits for a lull in his windmilling, idly thinking out loud: ] If the little guys are attracted to the food, maybe we could safely trap them near the fence? Like using jars or crates or something?
