Many? It's kind of common in my world. It makes things easier, transportation wise. [No wheels, nothing to take in for friction or anything of the nature.]

It's meant for hauling heavy cargo around, making easier to go back and forth. It's gets good travel time when it's heavily loaded, and it can go pretty quickly when there's a light load.
