There's a kotatsu, too, but it's just a table now that it's warmer outside. He chuffs a quiet laugh and leads them to the stairs.]

Careful, these stairs are kinda steep. You're welcome up here whenever, just mind the cats, this hatch closes kinda hard and they like to follow you up here.

[As he says this, one of the kittens seems to appear out of thin air and scamper up the stairs with them, waiting patiently near the hatch. Ichimatsu chuckles, and pushes it open for her.]
