It’s not difficult to see how Teddy might think that, though; for as much as Tommy trash talks Billy’s abilities (lovingly, of course), he recognizes how powerful Billy is. There’s a lot that Tommy’s missing from this story - “Mother” doesn’t sound like Billy’s talking about Wanda, and Tommy still has no idea how he got from the warehouse to the party, or what happened in between. Billy falling for someone clingy sounds legit, though - ew, the idea makes Tommy shiver a little, but whatever, Billy can have terrible taste if he wants, Tommy isn’t his twin’s keeper - so that answer satisfies his curiosity for the moment.]
