i [There are so many things wrong with a giant glowing germ being a good occasion. The last time Gear dealt with one, it tried to eat him, Static, and their school. But this one isn't trying to do anything wrong and he'll leave it at that for now. The monsters crawling out of the river wreaking potential havoc on the priority and he's doing what he can to tie some of the monsters up with near unbreakable coils out of his specialized zap-caps. They take them down right on the riverbanks to keep them from advancing and it gives some of the other guards time to step in and handle them. He's not much of a fight in this sense, but he's doing what he can to stem the flow of the creatures. It helps that he's got rocket skates to keep him above the monsters so he can come at them without being tackled.]
Geez, this is like Flowers vs Brain Eaters V. Only without the zombies. [He catches another killer crocodile in a trap but shouts to the people nearest to it.] Don't touch that one, it's got a built in taser!
iii + v [action/network] [Gear wasn't affected like other people he'd met throughout the week by the strange loss of senses, but he was preoccupied with it. He wanted to help and from his observations and research (not that he needed much), it was easy to see the connection between the Giant Glowing Germs and the strange effects people were dealing with. He didn't know exactly why he wasn't affected, but he had casually been asking around with the natives about what they had experienced. But that wasn't much data to go off so he wanted to get as much as he could. Even if the effects faded soon enough like some people implied, he wanted to know why. Because what if something else in this crazy world can cause the same reaction? So he takes to the network, looking for volunteers.]
Hey, anyone having loss of specific or various senses this week willing to answer some questions. Trying to build some data and look into the strange effects people experience here and see what can be done about them.
All information will be purely confidential. I don't even need your name. You can be Nun O'Buznez and I'm cool with that.
{ooc: Richie/Gear can be approached while out and about for skin-to-skin contact, or they can respond to the network inquiry. I'll respond to either!}
