I think high schoolers are pretty much awful no matter if you're a mutant or not. ( Though Clarice isn't saying Lauren's troubles were less. In fact, being a mutant makes things much worse. But she's used to making fun of things in order to not feel them. ) Though I would have made a shitty cheerleader. If I'd have actually gone to school I'd have been the weird kid hiding under the bleachers regardless.
