[ Cisco does notice that the woman looks like she is not doing so hot, and makes a mental note to keep an eye on her if she seems like she's seriously in pain or falling behind. They need to find those kids, but not at the expense of anyone else's safety. Cisco'd worked with Barry long enough that he knows plenty of people don't know their own limits, and will end up making more trouble for everyone by overextending themselves out of a desire to do good.

He also knows that, in times of stress and strain like this, a little humor can keep everyone going a bit longer. So, with exaggerated outrage, he complains: ]

I told them they should let me put tracking devices on the cadet's backpacks, but did they listen to me? Nooooo. Apparently that's "unnecessary" and "a terrible idea". [ He sketches the air quotes out with his fingers in the air, sarcasm heavy in his voice. ] Doesn't seem like such a terrible idea now, does it?

[ Easier to whine over-dramatically about missed opportunities than to think about how worried he actually is that some of them might be hurt, that the search parties may not find everyone, or find them alive. ]
