It's possible they just didn't know. There are a lot of different creatures out in this jungle, and if things are moving from their usual habitats to get at these mushrooms... [Hiccup is willing to believe the best from the vendors. They had mentioned it might be dangerous, just not this dangerous. Still, maybe it's all a mistake.] It would be hard to predict what might show up.

[Hiccup shakes his head slightly at the suggestion to try closer to the city.] Those patches are probably already picked over. Toothless might be able to find a spot, though.

[That makes him laugh though.] I don't know, I haven't tried one. They glow like Flightmare algae, it's not that appetizing.
