[ Checking out the entirety of city has been postponed due to rain. Typically, rain wouldn't bother Billie. She showed up here with a coat and gloves and boots, even a gas mask kind of thing all of her own, all suited for not worrying about pretty much anything that might fall on her out there. Of course, that's taking into account her assuming whatever might fall on her wouldn't be acid. Or. Whatever this shit was.
So exploration came to an abrupt stop once she realized her coat was smoking from the rain drops. She's now taken shelter in the first open building she could find. It just happens to be a little store, one that just happened to have decks of cards, and she's had no moral dilemma with cracking open a box without buying it and starting up a game of Go Fish with the poor, unfortunate souls stuck in here with her.
She has, of course, since pulled her whaling mask off and set it aside, along with her red coat. No point in wearing those things in here. She had to rinse them off, anyway, so now they're drying off somewhere within sight. ]

[ Yellow really isn't Billie's color. She probably made that crack when they first set out, so let's skip that part and move straight on to the fact that these 'monsters' are giant animals. Anyway, she's perched idly on one of the more elevated parts of the machine the rest of the team is trying to drive out into the woods, waiting for enough trees to be cleared to carry on.
Keeping watch, basically, which is something she's very good at. What others might miss through the storm, the trees, the fog, and mist, she catches. It's only a tiny movement out there, but that's warning enough for her. You can't fool her, Stupid Giant Elk, holding still for now and pretending to be a tree. ]
Hey, [ So, naturally, she tries to get the attention of the other sucker who got dragged into doing this job. ] Out just to the east of us. See it?
[ Because she does and she's damn sure they're going to need a bigger gun to deal with it. ]

[ Okay, look, the network is weird and a giant pain in the ass to her, but if everyone else here uses it, wellโ ]
so does this place always rain death from above or do i just have really bad timing?
